‘Remembering how we started’ is the conference tagline.
Workshops / Code Sprint
Conference – General Track:
– FOSS4G business models and case studies
– Open Data
– Earth Observation
– Spatial Data Infrastructures
– FOSS4G in the local or central administration
Conference – Academic Track
Following an established tradition, FOSS4G-Europe organizes an academic track which will run as a single-track over the conference days. FOSS4G-Europe invites original research contributions on all aspects of open-source geo software and its application. Submissions focusing on INSPIRE, Big Data and Societal Challenges are particularly encouraged. All types of articles are welcome, such as on results achieved, case studies, work in progress, and demos. We discourage, however, mere presentations of technology or use cases without properly justifying originality against the scientific state of the art and without particular novelty.
Business to Business (b2b) – Sessions
The B2b event provides a valuable opportunity for business networking. It is aimed at companies and organizations which do business in the scope of Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial.
The idea of this event is to provide a favourable setting for nurturing partnerships between companies and organizations.
The event is split into two parts. The first one is more formal and it will include 5 minutes presentations (pecha-kucha style), which are designed to quickly introduce the business and present their value proposition. This will act as a sort of “ice-breaker”.
The second part is more informal, and it will include drinks and finger food.
The event will last for 2 hours (1 hour presentations + 1 hour of drinks).
